The location was a significant advantage, with the harbour, shops, and restaurants just a stone's throw away, making it convenient for someone like me who enjoys exploring local culture and history. The onsite art gallery was a delightful surprise, offering a unique glimpse into the region's artistic flair. Staff interactions were consistently professional; Thomas at the reception desk exemplified this with his helpful attitude. While the freshwater did have a noticeable chlorine taste, this is a minor detail considering the room's excellent amenities, including shared laundry facilities. This establishment proves to be a solid choice for anyone seeking luxurious accommodation at reasonable rates, especially for those looking to delve into the historical and cultural offerings of Akaroa.
